Some friends of mine were moving house and offloaded some unwanted fabric scraps to me. Conveniently it coincided with my nephews (aged 6 and 8) staying over. They decided they wanted to make Minecraft toys.
They hadn't used a sewing machine before so some support was needed to make the first one and then I left them to it....the cutting, the pinning, the sewing...pretty much on their own.
They were so proud of what they made. It was great for them to realise that no other toys existed in the world that were exactly like theirs.
Two happy boys and one proud aunty!
